Demi Lovato Marries Jordan ‘Jutes’ in a Dreamy California Ceremony

Demi Lovato, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and actress, has officially begun a new chapter, marrying fellow musician Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes in a romantic and intimate ceremony in California on May 25, 2025. The wedding, attended by close friends and family, marks a significant milestone in Lovato’s journey—a story of love, resilience, and artistic partnership that has captivated fans around the world.

A Love Story Rooted in Music

Lovato, 32, and Lutes, also in his early 30s, first crossed paths in January 2022 during a songwriting session for Lovato’s album Holy Fvck. Their creative chemistry quickly blossomed into a deep friendship, which gradually evolved into romance. The pair went public with their relationship in August 2022, delighting fans with their candid affection and mutual admiration.

Their engagement came just over a year later, on December 16, 2023, when Lutes proposed in a personal and heartfelt moment in Los Angeles. He presented Lovato with a pear-shaped solitaire diamond ring, and the couple celebrated with a family gathering at a beloved restaurant, sharing the joyous news with their followers on social media.

Demi Lovato – A Fairy-Tale Wedding

The ceremony itself was orchestrated by renowned event planner Mindy Weiss and held at 4 p.m. in a picturesque California setting. Lovato walked down the aisle in a custom pearl white silk satin gown by British fashion house Vivienne Westwood. The dress, which featured a corset bodice and off-the-shoulder neckline, was the result of five meticulous fittings, with Westwood’s couture team traveling from London to Los Angeles to perfect every detail.

“I have been a fan of Vivienne Westwood’s designs for a long time,” Lovato told Vogue. “When I was thinking about what dress style I wanted, I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs—specifically how the silhouettes really complement the curves in your body, and her use of corsets”.

For the reception, Lovato changed into a second Vivienne Westwood creation: an ivory silk satin column dress adorned with a draped corset top and broken pearls trailing from the neckline. “There was so much attention to detail on the reception dress beading. The pearl detail and draping are such a special element, and each strand was draped and attached by hand, one by one. It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special,” Lovato shared.

A Relationship Built on Friendship and Growth

Both Lovato and Lutes have been open about the importance of friendship as the foundation of their relationship. “We started off as friends first and foremost,” Lovato previously shared, emphasizing that it took months for them to move from collaborators to partners. Their bond, strengthened by shared creative pursuits and mutual respect, has been a source of inspiration for both artists.

In interviews and Instagram posts, Lovato has frequently expressed gratitude for Lutes’ unwavering support. “The past three years have been the best three years of my life and I have you to thank for that,” she wrote in a Valentine’s Day tribute earlier this year. “I’m obsessed with your heart, your love, and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together”.

Lutes has echoed these sentiments, calling Lovato his “favorite person” and celebrating their journey together. “Making you laugh has become my new obsession because your smile literally alleviates my depression,” he wrote in a heartfelt birthday message, highlighting the joy and healing their relationship has brought.

Celebrating New Beginnings

The couple’s wedding comes after a period of thoughtful planning. Lutes shared in October 2024 that they were not rushing the process, wanting to savor every moment of their engagement and avoid unnecessary stress. Their approach reflects a desire for authenticity and presence—a theme that has defined their relationship from the start.

In July 2024, the couple welcomed a new member to their family: a small dog named Pickle, whom they affectionately refer to as their “new son”. This playful milestone underscores their excitement for a shared future, filled with love, laughter, and new adventures.

Lovato’s journey to this joyful moment has not been without challenges. The singer has been candid about her struggles with mental health and addiction, using her platform to advocate for self-acceptance and recovery. Her marriage to Lutes represents not just a personal triumph, but a testament to the power of healing, growth, and unconditional love.

As Lovato and Lutes embark on this new chapter, fans and well-wishers around the world are celebrating their union—a love story that began in the studio and now takes center stage in life’s grandest duet.
